Homemade Ranch Seasoning Mix
The beauty of this is that you can make homemade BUTTERMILK ranch dressing without having fresh buttermilk on hand. This uses dried buttermilk powder enabling you to quickly mix up a batch of buttermilk ranch without running out to the store.
  • ⅓ cup of DRY POWDERED BUTTERMILK (In with baking aisle at store or buy online)
  • 2 tablespoons DRIED PARSLEY
  • 1½ teaspoons DRIED DILL WEED
  • 2 teaspoons GARLIC POWDER
  • 2 teaspoons ONION POWDER
  • 2 teaspoons DRIED ONION FLAKES
  • 1 teaspoon GROUND BLACK PEPPER
  • 1 teaspoon DRIED CHIVES
  • 1 teaspoon SALT
  1. Whisk all ingredients together until blended.
  2. Store in airtight container in refrigerator up to 3 months (Dried Buttermilk Powder requires refrigeration hence the reason it must go in fridge)
  3. To make ranch dressing using mix use 1 tablespoon of seasoning mix with ⅓ cup mayo and ⅓ cup milk and whisk to combine OR if you want to use fresh buttermilk then just OMIT buttermilk powder when making the mix or leave it out all together if you are not a fan of buttermilk.
  4. You may also pulse the mix in a food processor if you want a more finely ground mix.
  5. three tablespoons of mix is the equivalent of 1 packet of store bought ranch dressing seasoning mix.
